About Us
The Annunciation Mission Dispensary is a faith based health facility owned and managed by the Daughters of Divine Love Sisters at St. Francis Catholic Church under the Archdiocese of Nairobi. Annunciation dispensary started as a mobile clinic in 2006 before the dispensary was built and by the year 2007,it was registered with the ministry of health.
St. Francis Catholic Church invited Daughters of Divine Love to help in the evangelization of the gospel as well as through other developmental activities such as Health services which is one of the apostolates of the congregation. This was due to the felt need identified by the parish among other needs. Health issue in the area was and is a strained social amenity for the fact that Mwihoko area is predominantly sub-urban rural area with majority of the population living below the poverty line
Access to health and other social amenities is a big challenge therefore DDL in line with their dispensary's missionstatement which is "TO CONTINUE CHRIST HEALING MINISTRY ON EARTH BY PROVIDING HOLISTIC CARE IN DIVINE LOVE" took up the invitation with open hands and began operating the dispensary till date.
